I could go scream into the baby monitor and the parent receivers still wouldn't hear anything but static. The baby monitor MUST be plugged into the wall, because it eats through batteries like nothing else. The nightlight feature looked nice on the box, but to turn it on you press down on the unit. Sometimes gravity will press down for you and it will cycle on and off rapidly (VERY ANNOYING).P.S. I took them camping, and they worked decently. They would pick up the baby crying if all electronic devices were off.
