Placing a cellphone anywhere near it produced enough static that the phone had to be charged in another room so we could sleep. It stopped working recently for no apparent reason. The noise that comes out of it is a loud buzzing and the red lights light up like someone is screaming into the mic. It did not click for me that we recently installed a wireless router on our computer to stream to our smart TV. I would not think the frequencies of these two barely similar devices would cause so much interference with the baby monitor. I have not found any way to get the monitor to work without disabling the router. Checking out reviews to find a better one less prone to so much interference.
