You did the work necessary to obtain those gift cards, and I think that using those instead of cash is part of making an $800 budget work. You have really inspired me, and my husband and I are talking about setting a goal for ourselves for next year. I don't think we're quite ready for an $800 budget, but we definitely want to challenge ourselves. I have a question: does your budget include things like household cleaning supplies, personal care, medicines, and eating out? Or is the budget strictly for groceries?
